What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a natural, noninvasive approach to health. It focuses on treating your bones, muscles, and joints–especially the spine–by using hands-on adjustments to help your body move and feel better. Chiropractic embraces the philosophy that the body has everything it needs to function perfectly when given the right environment and input. You are a well-designed machine!

Your chiropractic care begins with a look at your body’s structure: how the bones and connective tissue are working together and responding to the messages they receive from your nervous system. If any component is out of place or if there’s a kink in the communication from your brain, you’ll experience discomfort or dysfunction. This could be as obvious as knee pain or less straightforward such as digestive issues and brain fog.

A chiropractic treatment will almost always incorporate manual adjustments and spinal manipulations. At Be Well Spine and Soul, you’ll likely receive some soft tissue work and stretching as well. Dr. Tom will accommodate your personal comfort levels with hands-on therapy – we care for everyone from infants to NFL players to great-grandmothers. You are in strong yet gentle hands here!

At Be Well Spine & Soul, we will happily recommend specific supplements or diet changes, but we will never prescribe drugs. And while some injuries may ultimately require surgery, we will explore every possible option to avoid it first.


Why should I see a chiropractor?
